Note that I am reading the revised version in the bind-up, but am marking the two books separately on Goodreads because I'm not planning on reading Death of the Necromancer right away.

Since when do jellyfish have bulbous eyes? Is this a thing in any mythology or folklore tradition that I'm unaware of?

Listen, a Murderbot reread was not on the schedule for this month. It is not even the right Martha Wells, I am still reading The Books of the Raksura! Murderbot rereads are things that just happen accidentally late at night against your will after watching an Apple TV trailer, okay?

I'm trying to listen to this on audio, and it might not work for me. The narrator is great, but it's off to a very dense start with a lot of world-building, terminology, and quick jumps between at least 3 povs. It's very "two minutes forward, one minute back" for me trying to internalize it all, and even so I might need a print copy to flip back through when things are referenced again later.

Final book of 2024. Must. Finish. By. Midnight. 😵‍💫
