Finished book 1- Chain Letter- obviously an edit happened to "update" it a little- kids do have cell phones but barely use them, still have landlines. Some stereotypes and characterizations are still clearly from 80s teen literature- girls on diets, kids have easy access to guns and no one bats an eye, parents always out of town, mean girls, etc.
