I'm a little skeptical of how much trust to put in his facts. There seems to be a definite christian bias in the use of BC instead of BCE and reliance on the bible's events as fact and biblical archaeology for chronology. Plus quoting Fox news.

I'm not getting the popularity. A lot about the Grants is fascinating, but a lot of the back and forth to Darwin is incredibly repetitive.

I'm also a little annoyed that in this anniversary edition they didn't correct masked boobies to nazca boobies, as it was decided they were a separate species. And he was so obsessed with looks he also totally misunderstood the remark about Cleopatra's nose.

I read it already and loved it (preordered), I got an advance audiobook through netgalley, so seeing if it's as much fun to listen to

I think I glossed over the casual sexism while reading it, but the audiobook hammers it in...
