Patti is on page 90 of 288 of The Taking of Jemima Boone: Colonial Settlers, Tribal Nations, and the Kidnap That Shaped America – A True Story of Rescue and Revenge in Revolutionary 1776
I've shelved this book. Can't bring myself to finish it. I give it a 2 star rating. The kidnapping of Jemima Boone and her subsequent rescue occurs fairly early in the book, all within the first 75 pages. What follows after that is incredibly boring. The book simply was not what I expected it to be. I'm used to the writings of of historian David McCullough and this author pales in comparison.

Patti is reading Up from Slavery
What an amazing life story! Booker T. Washington should be a role model for all of Gen Z and most of all, for the black community in America. His values of 1) education, both book learning but also industrious pursuits 2) entrepreneurship 3) self-reliance 4)being upright and honorable in all ways could fix the Black communities in America if they embraced those values.

Patti is reading The Return of the God Hypothesis: Three Scientific Discoveries Revealing the Mind Behind the Universe
This is Dr. Stephen Meyer's 3rd book on the topic of how discoveries in science ( molecular biology, chemistry, geology, cosmology, etc ) point to God as the best explanation among competing hypotheses. It is a more scientific read than his previous books and the chapters on quantum cosmology may cause some readers to skip ahead. I highly recommend this book for any theist with a scientifically inclined mind.
