I love Emily St John Mandel so so much, I cannot wait to read this way too fast and wish I had savored it.

I am sooo into this book already but I really wish we could get one story like this that doesn’t have a character whose last name is Shelley or some other homage to Mary Shelley. We get it.

Reading VOLUME 2 with my daughter but it’s not on Goodreads yet! Feeling so lucky that we got an ARC of the English translation of Kiki And The New Magic!

I’ll be honest, I’m having a really hard time getting into this. Maybe I haven’t been paying enough attention but I don’t really know what’s going on. Maybe it’s that I always kind of struggle with gothic style novels even though I want to love them.

I’m particular about the horror I like and this book is so so good.

I can’t adequately express in words how happy I am that my kid is finally old enough to enjoy having novels read to her at bedtime, and that she loves Kiki.
