Relationship like this are built on honesty and trust. If you don't trust me - trust me to know how I'm affecting you, how far I can go with you, how far I can take you - if you can't be honest with me, then we really can't fo this.

People who believe in fixed traits feel urgency to succeed, and when they do, they may feel sense of superiority. However, lurking behind that self esteem of the fixed mindset is a simple question: If you're somebody when you're successful, what are you when you're unsuccessful?

Kita sering menilai sesuatu itu mustahil karena akal kita telah terpaku dengan kebiasaan atau dengan hukum-hukum alam atau hukum sebab dan akibat yang kita ketahui, sehingga apabila ada sesuatu yang tidak sejalan dengan hukum-hukum itu, kita segera menolak dan menyatakannya mustahil.

Standar orang Indonesia memang ditentukan oleh komunitas sekitarnya, bukan standar mereka sendiri. Mental kita memang masih mental follower, kalau misalnya ditegur atau diberi opini bahwa penampilannya beda, langsung merasa tidak nyaman dan insecure, dan akhirnya memilih seragam saja. Lebih baik jadi orang lain daripada diri sendiri. Budaya kita mengajar kita untuk tidak berbeda.
