Although the narrator is just splendid, with various lively voices (even on par with their age and gender fyi), I struggle to get over just what I imagine is only the first page because there are like 4 adults and 2 children in that opening scene and my mind won’t focus and remember who’s who. First few sentences were an absolute joy to listen to though so I imagine I’ll enjoy it once I’m a bit more rested.

My mind still won’t register what I’m reading myself and I only have this in ebook so as long as I’m “living off” audiobooks instead of written books, this one will be on hold as well. Such a shame because I love the Irish influences with this ‘chosen-one’ witch stories where witches come from a surprising background

There is this high pitch companion sound with the words that are spoken that, due to my particular hearing loss (good hearing on low and high noises/frequencies but lacking in the speech-rage/frequencies), is more present to me than the words itself so it’s exhausting to listen to as long as my mind isn’t clear enough. Hopefully soon, I can dig into this one, it’s starting to be a little less noticeable so 🤞

I still can’t register what I’m reading myself so it’s still only audiobooks for me so this ebook is on hold. Absolutely love, love, love the story this far though!

Sadly, the narrator isn’t pulling me into this story. Gave it multiple tries (although I forgot to put this on on “currently reading”) so I’m gonna leave this audiobook for now. Maybe I’ll have more succes in a year or something like that since my health should be different and state of mind might be what’s holding me back from enjoying this audiobook 🤷🏻‍♀️
