My dude, you have literally two people telling you this is a very bad no good idea. Why are you walking into the cult anyway? Because that's probably what this is: a scary doom cult a la Midsommer. I'm going to feel less bad for you if this goes south cause you had so much direct warning. A missing poster, a local, ONE OF THE MEMBERS even tried warning you away?

I don't think this book is for me. I literally have less than an hour left in this book and I almost just... don't want to finish? I'm just ... bored. The writing is beautiful, but if I have to hear that "midnight soil" poem one more time, I'm going to lose my mind. I was really, really hoping that this was going to be great. It checks so many boxes for me, but the execution just... eh. Like its fine, but... eh...

How do I keep getting these romance manga thinking that I'm going to just have a fluffy sweet time then they just punch me in the gut. Ouch. Ouuuuchhh.

This is fun, but the lady is getting on my nerves a little. I get you're a scientist, but like maybe don't put everyone in possible danger just because you're curious? Maybe?

This is not doing it for me.
