Ah, slow-burn romance. My guilty, I guess, guiltiest pleasure after unrequited love. I haven’t read a lot of slow-burn stories these days, but now that I’ve read Ella Maise’s, I’ll be damned if I don’t crave for MORE. Give me those lingering kisses, the electrifying touches, the pining, and the uncertainty of whether things can work between the two leads. Give it all to me!!!

Reading this brings me back to those times in boarding school, but my times in boarding school weren’t as bad as these people’s. Oh my gosh. The fear I get from reading The Wicked Prince is not because I’m scared for anyone’s life, but it is more to having to wait for another year for the next book. I’m so screwed. This book, this series might as well be the curse for my whole being. It’s terrifying and unnerving. The anxiety is real, I’m telling you.
