Ugh. Wow. Totally emotionally intense. I can see why people love this book - very slow burn, very psychologically intricate. I am in awe of this author - mature and considerate. Such a great book.

I thought I would hate this but it is much more thoughtful than I expected. Enjoying it so far (audiobook).

I just love Penny Reid and have no idea why she isn't a gazillion times over NYT bestselling author. Her time must come! I love this Knitting in the City series. This book is romance, steam, and thoughtful discussion about women's rights and values. This book's audio version also featured both an open door and a closed door romance scene for those who do or don't want the FULL STEAM that Penny Reid is sooo good at.

Not really enjoying - going to finish out of mental anguish. Eliza Doolittle vibes.

Having a hard time finishing. Not sure why.

Have stalled a bit because I can't stop crying when I read this.

I sucked myself into this after I couldn't sleep. I have a lot of issues with it but at the same time, I have to admit it is a page turner.

This is so unique and creative and so.......uh.....dated. I think if I had read this when I was younger I wouldn't have noticed the stylistic challenges. I'm still enjoying the story very much, though.
