Hm. Starting this after finishing something by Gregory Ashe was probably not the wisest move...

First time in the more than ten years I've been doing the GR reading challenge that I've revised my total DOWN rather than up... I'd normally be ahead by this time of the year, but work and life have been crazy... ugh.

This is a slog - which isn't something I'd ever expected to say about a Nazri Noor book. The narration is fabulous, but the story is really slow... I just listened to a whole chapter about omelettes and scrambled eggs!

No idea why NN has decided to go down the cosy route - his stuff normally has plenty of action with a bit of romance and smexy times but this is... boring.

New to me author whose other listed works here are fanfic. This original work is off to a good start. 🤞

UGH - present tense. Why do authors do this to us?

American authors/audio publishers - PLEASE allow your British narrators to say "arse" instead of "ass", especially in sex scenes**. Listening to these guys doing thing to each other's "asses" is not the kind of kink that was probably intended!

**Narrators are supposed to read what's on the page to the letter and not make changes.
