One of the few books I didnt finish. I tried to stay open minded about the concept of a married jesus but found the characters and plot too flat and the scriptures too manipulated. Disappointed as sue monk kid is one of my favorite authors

A bit confusing...still trying to figure it out

Excellent book. Bellevue to me was synonymous with "bedlam" until I worked with an elderly nurse who took her nurses training there. She piqued my curiosity about the hospital but I didnt find out more until I read this well written book. I learned so much! Not only about the hospital, but medical practice, New York history, human stories.

We lived in Alaska in the 70s so I could really relate to this book. Unlike Leni, I was happy to leave... Cordova was Rainier in the summer than Kodiak and although the winter was longer and snowier, there were some bright sunny days. Well written book that kept me up past 2 am reading

ALL Catherine Ryan Hyde books are fantastic. Read this as soon as it downloaded, of course. I found it a little different from her other books...maybe a bit more "static", but still a great read which left me with a lot to ponder.

Great book! I couldn't put it down. It was a bit predictable, bit that didn't matter. The characters were believable, the facts straight (I'm a nurse and my husband is a private pilot, so ...) And the story uplifting. Well written!

Excellent memoir...amazing the life she lived, the insights she gained and the love she shared.

Although i don't usually like trilogies, Echo Moon is the exception! Don't like "ghost" stories either, but the trilogy was an exception again! Well written and with lots of "saving grace"
