Sooo good so far! Loving the writing and the characters, especially Sam.

I started this last night and I'm only 160 pages in but I'm loving it so far!

Interested to see what changes the author has made to this story.

Just finished the first novella and onto the second!

I absolutely adored Everything, Everything by the same author so have high hopes for this one.

Btw, can anyone tell me what is with YA authors and their obsession with Kurt Cobain/Nirvana? I mean I get that his death was tragic and he was only 27, but seriously, he's from three decades ago, and his music may be great, but he doesn't seem to be a very good role model tbh.

I have mixed feelings on the characters and story in this book atm...

Really good so far! The humor is spot-on and I like how the author has really turned the whole "zombie" thing on its head.

The plot of this book seems predictable but damn, it feels so good to be reading my favourite genre again.

Jonah is fighting his death sentence while Kacey is heading straight for one... Makes me feel sad for Jonah and that Kacey's problems pale in comparison.

This is actually really interesting so far. I like the writing a lot: "Perhaps my mother has already... noticed the fingerprints on the dusty glass louvres of my window, instantly surmising with her uncanny facility to accurately persecute without evidence that I must have been out all night with Jasper Jones..." Uncanny facility? Really? It sounds lovely, but no thirteen-year-old from this world talks like that.

"I greet Jeffrey's grumpy tabby, Chairman Meow..." Wait, wasn't there a cat called Chairman Meow in Mortal Instruments as well? Huh?

I think I might be the only one who doesn't sort of hate the new update... :(

Only reason why I'm reading this, is for school. Coming-of-age stories set in small towns in the 1960s aren't really my thing, but I don't think I have much of a choice. ;) Hopefully I can get through it.

So far, interesting enough. I hope it picks up soon though, and gets to a more fun, action-packed part.

Well... I don't want to jump the gun since I've still got 60 pages to go, but this has delivered exactly what I was expecting and hoping for, and even more.

Apparently, Peter is handsome and so is Sergei and so is Alexander and so is EVERY SINGLE GUY in this book. I can't believe there's a love square.

So Peter was described as 'bratty and insufferable' but is now presented as a completely different person. And why is Sophie so pleased to see him when she really doesn't even know him? Also, I feel a love triangle in the air...

Hmmm, I feel the girl is a bit young, but I suppose this is meant to be based on history a bit or something. It seems to be set in Russia which is really exciting because I've never read a book set there. I hope this isn't another so-so YA book revolving around the Court.
