Every single person in this book is awful! I thought id like them more here than in the series BUT NO. Belly is insufferably insecure and judgy, Conrad is a rude asshole, Jeremiah is selfish and self centered, Taylor is a bad friend, and Steven is cruel instead of playful. These are completely different personalities than in the series and I 100% see why they made those changes.

The whole reason why I even read this series was to get to this book, and somehow, it hasnt been my favorite. Its been entertaining and fun to read but its just something about the whole animals plot that I just cant get into. Also, Gabriel is not my favorite love interest, he's good enough but he and penny lack the witty banter that we did get in the prevvious books... I still want to finish the book anyway.

The thing that I just read that I can't mention because it would be spoilery has me unable to think, read, or speak. THIS MAN not only makes me leugh and giggle but he is also incredibly hot and down bad for our fmc. 11/10. Tessa Dare, you have done it again🤭 thank you

this book continues to be SO ridiculously funny, every line of dialog is somehow filled with humor, im absolutely LOVING THIS

This book is truly just a comedy, like these characters are SO funny, I am quite literally laughing on every single page. Doesnt feel like a historical romance, but somehow... Im loving this!

I have been loving the writing, it is so beautiful and poetic that I sometimes just get lost in the words. Im not one to appreciate good writing, but this one is just too beautiful not to praise.

the men in this book have me needing to stop reading to scream far too often. I love men written by women.

I love that this has been a slow burn so far. HOWEVERRRR! i NEED to know how they get out of killing each other. I guess a rebellion is going to stop the Kejari and theyll be able to escape, tho I want the author to do something that will surprise me. Also, I cant get it out of my head that Vincent doesnt have any good intentions. So excited to keep reading!!

to be quite honest, i am enjoying this book so much more than i even expected. people said this was amazing and for the first few chapters i didnt really understand, but OH MY GOD this is so good!! again, i just love how fast-paced this is. also, raihn is just so hot?!?!?!

I love how this is very fast paced and action packed. I have never read a book with such gruesome descriptions, im usually not one to be grossed out by a book but this one did it. I say this as a good thing tho. Enjoying this book so far!

The TENSION, ive lived for every second of it. Just read chapter 29 and all I'll say is... WYN CONNOR IS A GENTLEMAN and i LOVE ITTTTTT

I had never read a second chance romance before cus I always just thought I would hate them but the fact that they have INSTANT chemistry and theres an explanation for ir, not just instalove is actually amazing. The angst, the tension, the chemistry is all there. I'm living for it. Emily Henry has not disappointed me so far
