I’ve listened to 80% and just need to take a moment and vent.

Rachel is often an unlikable person in this book. I find her rude, selfish, arrogant, pig-headed, and makes choices that are obviously going to have bad outcomes.

I really like this world with all the different creatures and their unique characteristics. I’m enjoying the plot line. I hope that Rachel matures asap so I can continue the series.

Oh man!! I’m dying of laughter after just listening to the part where the lady at the restaurant ate octopus that was “too fresh”… her body was taken over (by the too fresh octopus) and was forced to grab a knife, stomp to the kitchen in an attempt to kill the chef who prepared the lunch.
Marvelous! Love that the humor is so understated.

I’ve listened to about 45 min of the book and find it quite charming so far. The narrator’s voice fits well with the image of Emily.
Happy to have chosen this one to listen to next!

I’ve only listened to a couple chapters and I keep rewinding…. So dang funny I have to listen again and again! Moore is absolutely clever with his wording and the narrator does a fabulous job with accents.

I’m dying of laugher!! I don’t want it to be done! I am listening to the audio version and I think it amps up the story 100 fold. The narrator is over-the-top hilarious. I may even start it over once it’s finished and it is very rare for me to want to read/listen to a book a 2nd time much less right away,

I'm rather intrigued and like the story line. I like how we jump into an urgent situation right from the start and aren't given all the answers. However, Penryn's lack of insight is annoying. I hope that once she grasps truth that this irritating attitude of hers will go.
