I’m so conflicted with this book because I love the writing and a lot has happened but somehow I still want something super fast paced and heart racing but it’s more a slow burn of a long war and court politics I am still going to finish the trilogy but I’m definitely more of a fast paced fantasy lover

Not even half way through and the smut can’t even keep my attention on this one feels like I’ve been reading this for way too long DNF

Ouch ouch not even halfway through and that scene hurt

Picked this up without really reading any details about the author or the book because I’d seen a few people really enjoy it

Immediately I was like yes I love this writing & humor then I saw the word ‘chocka’ and was like wtf is this author Aussie/she’s from New Zealand and it’s so cool to see casual language like this when I wasn’t expecting it, makes me love the writing and characters even more.

Re-reading via audio to try and ease my pain of not having my preorder yet 😅
