I can’t put this book down because the story is so good! I was up past midnight and read for another hour as soon as my alarm went off this morning. The relationship between
Riela and Garrick continues to develop. We learn more about each character and some of the side characters like Grim. And the story is getting more interesting!!

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this story. So far it is amazing! Fantastic world building and the storyline pulled me in. But the best part are the characters. Riela is a human who discovered recently that she has magic, although she doesn’t have a good understanding of how to use it. Garrett is a mysterious magic user. The chemistry between them is delicious! I don’t want it to end.

I’m not sure about this book. I’m basically halfway through and I still don’t like the characters. Both main characters seem immature and shallow and foolish. I may not finish …

I know this is fiction. The least believable event so far is an ER nurse putting in for a week of PTO, the PTO request being approved, and her immediately taking it. Never happens in real life.

Enjoying the story so far. I like the FMC and she is relatable.
