This is starting even better than I expected, I’m really enjoying the writing style so far.

I love them both so much, and I feel so bad for Ryan—he has such a sad view of himself it makes me so sad 😭

Given current events, the political storyline is a struggle. But otherwise I’m really enjoying this.

I’m not usually a big fan of time skips, but these are okay so far. I definitely enjoy Ilya’s humor more, but I do understand Shane more at the same time.

The writing in this is not great, but kind of average for a normal romance. I think Kip and Scott are cute, but I also understand why they’re just a subplot in the show.
The way these two have jumped into “I love you” so quickly, and now are starting to spiral so quickly, is starting to bother me tho.

I didn’t expect my Libby hold to come through already, and I wasn’t prepared. This is really cute so far, tho. I knew I was going to like this when I thought they were so cute in the show.

I will definitely be finishing this tomorrow.

Shannon’s mother is such a complicated character, and it’s so hard because she’s awful to her kids but also clearly abused and experiencing ptsd from it. And I can clearly see her perspective on Johnny, and the parallels between the two relationships is really interesting, and even alarming from a realistic perspective. Even if I know this is a romance and it’s not going to go down that way for them.

Why is the wrong word italicized so often in this series? I want to emphasize a different word like 90% of the time.

Still pretty easy to read, and going much better than the first book.

This book is definitely starting off much better than the first one. Finally getting to the interesting plot points.

A Game of Thrones reference? …in 2005?

If she’s constantly bruised, why is she not more worried about covering it up? Why is she wearing shorts, and putting her hair up?
And why would you invite someone home, when it would make more sense to be constantly on edge and afraid there?
I don’t understand.

This book is altogether way too long. There’s so much unneeded filler that is dragging this out. Unfortunately, I am interested in the story and in some of the characters, or I would have quit a while ago.

The word lad is overused so much in this book, it gets really annoying at times.
Also, why is this scene this long? Seriously?

I don’t care for this whole, threatening/beating up the boyfriend for his girlfriend’s actions. It feels very much like it’s saying that it’s the boyfriend’s job to keep the girlfriend in line and that’s gross.

Some of the writing is still bothering me, but for the most part I’m enjoying this. I want to see where it goes.

I really don’t know how I feel about this so far. The writing is both watpad-ish and too mature for YA, in a weird way.
I completely understand why people who hate the whole “she’s so tiny, so minuscule, so small” dnfed this.
I fear this is going to put me in a slump, but I’m trying to keep going. I need to know why people are so obsessed. Plus I already own both books.

This is so easy to just keep reading.

I’m not usually a fan of flashbacks in books, but I am just breezing through this so far.
