Finally getting through this. It’s been a struggle to keep my interest for the first 150 pages.

Why is her apartment being broken into, and Sadie’s birth plan being in danger, taking a backseat to everything else? That feels rather important to me.

I understand that Lizzie is going through some awful shit, and there’s definitely more than we know going on, but I really can’t stand her. I don’t know that I’m going to want to read her book after this one.
I have said this before about this series, though, so it’s possible.

This is fun to reread, and my first time annotating a book!

There’s so much left of this book, and I already know there’s still terrible stuff waiting. I need the suffering to stop already. 😭😭😭

I am surprised by how much I’m loving this. Ophelia is the kind of monster romance heroine I didn’t know I wanted.

Really enjoying this so far! Very easy to read, too. It’s a nice break from the other book I’m reading.

I wish I was enjoying this more, but I’m just not believing the chemistry or the supposed darkness of them. I’m tempted to dnf, but I do want to see how it ends.

I really wish this was pulling me in more. I’m not sure if it’s just the writing style or the characters at this point.

This is definitely not for the friends-to-lovers haters who can’t stand when the guy is waiting on the side for his chance. Especially as he’s now manipulating things to get his way.
Thats not a deal breaker for me, though.

I actually never want this book to end.

I’m surprised by how good this is. Very unethical and unprofessional irl… but in this book? I’m eating it up. And I can’t believe how dumb Sterling was in the first half, and yet I love him anyway.

This one has definitely slowed down for me, but I will be finishing it soon.

These books are literally so easy to read. Even when I don’t think I’m in the mood for it, I’ve finished the next chapter in no time. The perfect example of “just one more chapter” every single time I pick it back up.

This is sooo cute!

I really want to like this, but the writing style is starting to get to me. There’re a lot of short, stilted sentences, and info-dump-y paragraphs.

I’m iffy on how I’m feeling about this one. It’s very insta-lust, with the relationship being very rushed. And sometimes the dialogue feels very unnatural.

Not closed door — but very low spice.
Her fake Canadian boyfriend secret is going to be so dumb, tho. It’s a sad high school story about her, I don’t see how it’s going to be some big deal to him. I’m already annoyed about it.

This feels like the perfect set up for the fmc to be using it as writing inspiration. Instead, she’s just unabashed about wanting to relive her high school fantasies and what she’s read in books. I can appreciate that, too.
