Read (cough cough skimmed) this years ago entirely unaware that I was not only the exact audience but a perfect case study

Rereading this for the new year after a few years and am finally pinpointing why it didn’t fully work for me. Boils down to the fact that when it comes the cleanliness it’s not just neurodivergence that impedes me.

Time to see if I like this one better than Babel…

Not sure what I was expecting but I slightly feel like someone is trying to go at my brain with a cheese grater bc I am so lost

I’m reading this book not with the expectation that it will be a masterpiece of fantasy’s but rather mindless fun I can throw myself at.

Reread for the best book and I’m starting to understand why I was disappointed by this one.

There’s way to much character inconsistency and so much padding of the page doubt that didn’t need to happen

Currently re-reading for the third book and I have got to say, the reason this one is the best book in my head is because Violet unabashedly poisoning people and getting away with it to win in her own strength against physical strength is brilliant and forgotten later on ☹️

Almost 200 pages in and practically nothing has happened?

I feel like I am missing something crucial about this book that makes almost everyone else go wild over it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Please ignore me updating the 500 books I've read into categories. It's gonna take a while. 14 year old me regrettably had no sense of taste in books at all.

This book is wayyyyyy overdue to the public mic library but I spent 3 months in the waiting list so no, it is not going back anytime soon. Fight me public library making and life decisions anyways
