Well I’m obsessed

A pretty novel, astonishing to think it took place in the 1960s and not the 1920s. I thought the end was a bit pat with the uncle, but her overall situation seemed satisfying.

I really hated it and didn’t finish it.

DNF. Nice enough but I couldn’t tell all the characters apart.

I’m sorry I think this book just glossed over the rape of a developmentally challenged Black servant and I’m extremely confused??!!!

I am loving the concept of this book, and I'm not even a Hallmark movie fanatic!

The middle section “Prove It” is so amazing- absolutely compulsive reading. A little masterclass in tension and inevitability.

I don’t know where this book is going, I just hope it never ends.

There have been like six references to The Snowy Day so far... what’s happening??? I love it!

I love books about fandom. This one is warming my heart!

I’m not sure I’m going to finish this one. It’s not that it isn’t good, it’s that it’s too good and the buildup to heartbreak for some of these characters is more than I can handle.

Oh and 3. The Palace of Versailles was closed during the Great War.

1. An orange grove is not called an orchard. It's called a grove.

Not the easiest read, but very engrossing nonetheless.

Laughing on the elliptical is a dangerous game, kids, so read this book while exercising at your own risk!
