Much better than I was expecting. It’s keeping me hooked - so much better than Digital Fortress!

So far so good!

Really drawn into it already. He seems as good a writer as people say 😊

So far, loving it - the writing style is very poetic and it’s just the right amount of tension.

It’s amazing so far, but there seem to be a couple of errors near the start. When Winston says that remembering one of his comrade’s fathers is doublethink, I was thinking surely this is meant to be the opposite - purposely NOT remembering is doublethink surely? I’m being too picky, but this kind of thing sticks in my head!!

The story is quite interesting, but I feel like it’s quite overwritten, and there’s a wee bit too much interior monologue. The author was obviously very influenced by Stephen King…

So far I feel the book is a little overwritten, but still interested to see where it goes 😊

Beautifully written. The book completely embraces the taboo of describing romantic, sensual, genuine love and affection between two men, without gimmick or sensationalism. Some of the passages are just beautiful.
