This book is really challenging me, and stirring up lots of emotions. It definitely makes the reader wonder - how would I handle this kind of situation? It’s easy to say we would resist forces of evil. But if you have a child to protect, like Vianne? If you value your own life? Realistically, I know I would never have had the courage to resist. And knowing what I know now, that’s hard to admit to myself.
