I really liked the first book but, at 54% through it, I am only begrudgingly reading the sequel so I can say I finished it. This book lacks any and all tension, suspense, or any negative emotion. Don’t set up a separation arc if they aren’t really going to be seperate for more than a story second. Just disappointed overall so far.

Through this book reads as a list of statistics and demonstrative stories, it is especially relevant to the current day American.

If you don’t want to hear about divisiveness and politics, don’t read this book. It’s recent enough to make reference to January 6th and overall feels a bit heavy handed. That said, I enjoyed it quite a bit and it’s nice to get perspective sometimes.
