Taking a wee vacation from writing but already mulling through a vampire series. Like we need another vampire series, right?

Just finished Witch's Curse by Debra Martin. Loved it. Looking forward to the third in the series

the writing is evocative and almost intoxicating. I had to read this over a few weeks (not because I didn't want to read it, but because life kept interfering) and each time I sat down with it, the writing style just captured me. It was like drinking fine wine and having to savour it. Loved the story. Clever and fluid plotting, but the characters were the real strength. I 'felt' for each one of them

this was a great YA book. A pleasant, easy read with some well done characterization. Really enjoyed it.

I read this in about 2 hours. I lot of reviews were unkind, but I really liked the authenticity of the voice

I didn't want to like this novella. I'm not a scifi gal. I like star trek, but that's about as far as it goes. I bought this book because i'd heard so many good things about the writing and I wanted to give it a try. Well, I loved it. it kept me enthralled. The writing was very good and the characters were well done. That matteres to me, as I prefer character fiction to plot fiction. well done, LK.
