Difficult to get into, with all the different pov's!

Love to read classics alongside the audio book, makes me less intimidated 😅

I picked this one up, because I found it dirt cheap in the thrift store (sooo lucky). Not something I would normally pick up (too cute), but worth a go.

Did I pick this one up just because of the cover? (Yes, yes, I did)

Aiaiai, this book has some rant reviews on here (didn't check the reviews before I picked it up). We'll see, we'll see. If I don't like it, I'd have to DNF-

Not in particular about this book, but I always have a hard time with short stories or short story collections. When I am invested, the story is already over! Oh, and bingereading short stories is no fun, as I cannot remember a thing.

The good thing though is that you get a feeling for the writing style.

Okay, so far better than I expected it to be (I went into it thinking it would be a DNF, so yeah, low expectations).

The writing is sometimes a bit iffy and the dialogue a bit unrealistic. I do find the writing to be engaging; it paints the picture of the surroundings well. It starts out action-packed and quick, so the pacing is great so far, and I hope that the story won't drag later on. Gonna continue :-)

Have I read the other books? No. Am I too old for this? Probably yes, but no. Did the librarian gave this to me? Yes. We'll see.

Not really sure what to think of it, haha! Some chapters I really, really love, but other parts not so. I feel like the book is a bit to long (for what it is), so it is dragging sometimes. I don't really like how the author writes female characters. Sometimes annoyed by the writing, although other times impressed. Very mixed feelings actually!

I'm reading the UK paperback version, and wow, I absolutely hate the font. It makes it so hard to read.

Anyways, the story starts out great. I think I'll enjoy this one.

Oh, and I also dislike the author, because he doesn't give any updates about book 3. I get it, writing takes time, but the way he answers questions from his fans is mehhhh

Echt in de mood voor middle grade, want dat kost mij niet veel energie om te lezen :')

Ik houd van het hoofdkarakter Samah, maar het plot valt een beetje in de herhaling ten opzichte van de eerste twee boeken. Ik denk dat daarom mijn favoriete het eerste boek was.

Vandaag is graphic novel dag ofzo, want ik heb echt zin om een paar te lezen :) (oh, en ik heb veel te veel boeken aangevraagd voor review oops)
