This came out ten years ago! When I first read it as a fr/soph in college, one could argue it marked the threshold between my Presbyterian roots and what would become my Anglican conversion (lol). What words were so ground-breaking to me then? How have they become core to my life? What will I glean or receive fresh encouragement in from the book, all these years after I first read a (gasp) female priest?

I’m relishing the irony of reading this on audiobook.

I’m about a hundred pages in and already re-reading bits trying to collect the pieces. It’s that good.

So far this guy is really spitting bars and my collectivist/gospel heart is very glad about it.

Seems appropriately beautiful and ironic to be reading this with the book club 😂
