Lucy is so snarky! She has made me laugh three or four times already. Was not expecting this of this book! I love it.

Okay, I love Adele and her kids. If they don't come out of this unscathed, I am going to riot. And by riot, I mean I am going to yell at my husband "How dare Lisa Unger hurt these characters I love!" Blake reminds me of my own son so Lord Jesus help me if something happens to him. My son is going to wonder what set me off my rocker again.

Being a huge fan of Hitchcock movies, I am enjoying the hell out of this book. I read some other reviews and it seems like readers don't like Alfred's friends. This confuses me a great deal because I don't think you are supposed to like them. Also I have gone on so many researching tangents of all things Alfred Hitchcock, I think I might have been done with the book already but I keep stopping.

I hate to say this but I am not enjoying this book. It might be because <spoiler> Boon is gone and Mouse is not going out and doing everything she can to find him. I get you are scared and look, I don't know what I would do if I lost my dog but was terrified at the same time, but it is giving me so much anxiety; I can't enjoy the story.</spoiler>

I am almost done with this one and can't wait to review it. Loving it so far!

I don't want to be critical of Ursula but I am not happy about the mountain top. It seems like there is an alternate universe in Mouse's grandmother's back yard and I feel like she covered this fictional trope already with The Hollow Places.

I am getting bored. I want to like this but the action is dragging, even with Vicki's little gangster outburst.

I am excited to finally start this one! I want this house, don't care how scary it gets.

I feel like I should finish this but god, I'm so bored. Vanessa was kind of a dick. May she rest in peace. Also why are all of these people obsessed with her? Why Grace cares for her so much, I do not understand. Becker is pretty annoying too even though I think we are supposed to cheer him on.

Okay, A-a-ron is the a new and improved Joe Goldberg! Why do I want to be in his head? Is he cool? Or will I be excited for Crystal to take his ass down as a psychopath? It's too soon to tell but Adam Cesare is becoming on my favorites. He might even be Ursula Vernon and Peter Swanson caliber.

This book is making me feel so bad for any negative review I have ever written. I think in my Goodreads profile I should add a disclaimer that I respect all authors and appreciate the hard work and determination they put in their work.

My Libby check out expired so I had to put another hold on this book. So far, every time I read "Aaron", in my head I think, "you done messed up A-A-ron!!" Aaron 14 probably would not like me.

I don’t know if I’m going to finish this. It’s long! Longer than I realized and am super anxious about a part of the novel that is coming up.

I love Frank! Don't get me wrong but I'm at a point where he needs to take his rose-colored glasses off and stop caring for his psycho daughter.

Maggie is a dick and I hate her!

Maggie is the worst!!!! I'm not calling her Margaret. Her name is Maggie and she sucks! I'm pretty sure her "troubles" in college were her fault. And she is a horrible person. Frank is just a dad trying to do his best with a psychotic lunatic for a daughter.

Maggie, sorry Margaret, is still annoying! Frankie is still awesome. And I want to visit this camp in real life. Especially Aidan's art shed/cabin, whatever. With the 1950s era bomb shelter.

99.999999% certain Aidan is up to no good. His dad also.

Maggie, or Margaret, (whatever!) is so annoying. Not a fan. Frankie seems like a sweet dad. I can't see my view changing. Not all has been revealed so maybe my opinion might change.

Something is up for Meghan's friend Nat. I also think Luke is no good. The brother of Caitlin I think is going to be a good guy.

Okay, now Meghan's daughter Sienna is annoying me.

This started out strong but then I made the mistake of reading reviews on it and now I don't care. I also flipped to the back and read some. Only time will tell if this gets moved to DNF.

Ugh! The middle part of this was great. I seriously was carefully studying every shadow in my house looking for monsters while reading the middle. Now I am so frustrated and I feel so bad for poor Kyle, traveling all over the place and stupid Max not giving him any helpful information or solutions.

Okay, so I want to live in The Precipice! Does Jamie know I love old, antique knick knacks? Because she has built a hotel I want to live in. I have a theory that includes our MC Charley but her backstory was so carefully spelled out I have doubts about how my theory holds up. So far, loving this book!

I was so close to finishing this. I was on the second to last short story and it disappeared from my Libby shelf. Ugh!!

Nevill's writing is so dense. But this book has sucked me in. I really want to try The Ritual again after finishing this one.

I want to finish this but Tommy and Kate are either scared to be in the house or they are excited to turn it into a tourist trap. And my goodness, do these two have the longest inner dialogs!
