Kinda stagnating on this one. It’s kinda boring. I’ll probably return to it but I’m starting another book in the mean time.

Also, I’m bored of 16 year old protagonists. When I was 15 they were so awesome, but now I’m a decade older and they’re a little weird. Why are YA dystopian authors obsessed with 16 year old children.

If I had read this ten years ago, closer to when it was published, I would have liked it more. Incredibly well written prose, but massive depictions of violence no longer engage me as a reader. I probably won’t be reading the other books in the series.
