Ohmygod, this is sooo frustrating.

On to the third part. I'm kinda scared.

If this book weren't so short, I would have stopped reading. I wonder if there's an article anywhere where Han Kang explains what inspired her to write this book. This first part is fine. The second part is so obscene.

Thanks to this book, I'm getting more interested to know more about Korea history in the time of Japanese colonisation. The brutality of the imperial Japanese soldiers never fails to surprise me... You'd think i would be used to it by now, but also, thank goodness I'm not numb to it. Psychopaths.

I'm only left with a few chapters but I'm here resisting because I'm afraid to read on...

They argue in every chapter, every page. No new characters coming up. No introduction of the surrounding area. Nothing. Why am I merely just reading about them arguing while they clean up the place? I'm at chapter 8 and they're still going at it. Am I missing something?

I'm quite interested to know what language Ivar speaks. Does it really exist or is it fictional? His language sounds beautiful.
