I don't like how absolutely miniscule Fabian is on the cover, like what's he so small for why does he look 13 years old and why is he wearing what looks like pajamas. Please, his head is so tiny compared to ryan's it looks WEIRD

I liked the little glimpse we got of Ryan in Heated Rivalry, and I loved the dynamic he had with Ilya. Wish he was still with Boston in this, but oh well. Also surprised to see this takes place in 2018 after the previous two books. I just assumed they'd all take place somewhere on the Heated Rivalry timeline until The Long Game pushes it forward.

Kip Grady is a fucking idiot. If I was dating a rich guy who was trying to gift me 50,000 dollars for my birthday I would simply take it and suck him sloppy style in thanks. Just finished chapter 3 and am gonna save the rest of this for tomorrow. I am LOVING the communication Taichi and Kohei have going on, which is something that was a bit lacking in previous volumes. I was also pleasantly surprised at Kohei setting boundaries with his ex in favour of his current relationship. That was very mature and lovely to see, even though I'm sure there's gonna be trouble ahead involving her.

Why is Greg's upper body in this illustration so freakishly long?? Like judging from where his leg emerges his hips are all the way at the bottom of the page. String bean ass proportions

I don't think Casey McQuiston knows that people outside the US exist (ironic, given the premise of this book) because the sheer volume of US-centric acronyms leaves me feeling like I'm reading a different language. Would it kill you to write some of them out sometimes?? How am I supposed to know your political and educational acronyms? Wtf is a DNC?!?!?

It feels like they've had sex a million and one times so far in this book, and I don't see the point of that if none of it is ever actually described. It's starting to get annoying, like yes, yes, either get back to the plot or show some hole, you have to pick one
