For anyone interested, no I won’t be using Fable ever. I don’t have a big following so it doesn’t matter really but Fable is so intertwined with AI and I’m not a fan of AI in general so Fable isn’t for me. Goodreads may be considered outdated but it has served me well as a book reader for a long time, it's easy to use and sometimes cozy is good, having the fanciest thing doesn't always mean the best.

I think I’m done requesting on NetGalley. Tried again after a long while and nope, synopsis didn’t reveal info that would’ve kept me from requesting. No, I don’t want spicy romance. No, I don’t want to read lgbtq romance. We’re allowed to read what we want. And if you want reviewers who are suited to the authors chosen audience, put a label on the book so people know what they’re requesting.

(Part 2- from the earlier status) Enemies to lovers is two characters going from vehemently not liking one another and having no feelings to slowly developing respect, friendship and then romantic feelings over what should be several books. I’m just a bit over the “big reveal” of the bad guy being a simp and the girl going insta love when they find out the feelings are mutual.

Sometimes I think that authors don’t get what enemies to lovers really is. One may fall before the other but there isn’t this whole “he loved her/she loved him the whole time and acted the villain” deal. That’s not enemies to lovers. (Part 1-cause it won’t let me post the whole status.)

I'm like 99% certain at this point that booktok reviewers are just there to get people to pay for Amazon Kindle Unlimited. Cause when I look up a lot of booktok recs, most are KU books. And the real reviewers on here rate them terrible so no booktok people, I don't believe your recs are real, I think they're paid by companies who want people to pay for their subscription.

Large TBR pile and yet I made this year one of re-reads, I regret nothing 😂

I used to rate most books 4 stars and above. Now I'm doing more 3 stars and below. It's sad now I feel like writing has become less about the quality of the story and more how many social commentaries an author can fit into their book.
