“And so the moth befriended the flame.”

“You may have rued watching me take my first breath, Father. But know that I will rejoice in watching you take your last.”

"I don't like interruptions. This isn't a fuck Know that I've failed more students than I've passed."

"With all due respect, I believe that's the failure of the one teaching."

«You believed I had come to the Bluff to outshine you. And I would speak this word back to you now, but only because I would love to see you burn with splendor. I would love to see your words catch fire with mine.»

«Tuck my words into your pocket. Let them be your armor.»

«She took hold of his jumpsuit and used all of her momentum to push him to the ground. He wasn’t expecting it and she easily unbalanced him. The impact was jarring; Iris bit her tongue as they tangled together in the long grass, his body warm and firm beneath hers. His hands splayed against her back, holding her to him. “Winnow?” he gasped, his face only a fraction of a centimeter away from hers.» AHHHHHH

«Dear Iris, I don’t think you realize how strong you are, because sometimes strength isn’t swords and steel and fire, as we are so often made to believe. Sometimes it’s found in quiet, gentle places. The way you hold someone’s hand as they grieve. The way you listen to others. The way you show up, day after day, even when you are weary or afraid or simply uncertain.» 💙

«I suppose I am an old woman, but I still love looking at my face. I don’t know if it’s beautiful or ugly, but it is the only human face I ever see. I smile at it and receive a friendly smile back.»

«Death is sometimes so discreet that it steals in noiselessly, stays for only a moment and carries off its prey, and I didn’t notice the change.»

“This family is one bad accident away from a true-crime podcast.” 😂

“It’s always worth leaving when someone doesn’t want you to stay.”

Mi género favorito: problemas de ricos.
