A manga about a former-hitman-turned-convenience-shop-owner who now uses non-lethal methods to protect his family? Heck yes!

A MG fantasy that includes the parents as important POV characters? Yes please!

Yup, this is *much better* than my last Christie… I honestly think her short stories are her best work, and Mr Satterthwaite is such a dear.

I’ve listened to these stories so many times via audio and after The Secret of Chimneys ticked me off with its gallant, youthful butthead of a male lead, I need some middle-aged, inoffensive male characters solving mysteries together to appease my wrath 😂

Ewwwwww not some blatant misogyny right on pg 1 of chapter 1 😭 Shut up, Anthony and Jimmy. You’d be lucky if *any* of those women didn’t leave you to rot in the desert sun

Crossing my fingers that this male lead isn’t pretentious, lecherous, or otherwise abusive… Always a bit of Russian Roulette with Dame Agatha, as much as I love her 😅 Not every male lead of hers was a Tommy Green Flag Beresford
