Heavy use of deus ex machina as god magically guides the story to the end and they all live happily ever after under the one true god and everything is easy. Jesus in the story also quotes from the bible, which is weird. And points them to a passage which says do not be led by others who perform magic and try to convert you, but they were muslim so it sounds like they should have stayed muslim?

Im not finished but close. Its basically become a evangelical book as pretty much the characters are all finding and experiencing jesus in their own way. plus literally. It kinda kills my suspension of belief

uses very stereotypical boring names for characters and always writes about Iran getting the bomb, tries to put other threats into his books sometimes but obvious doesnt really know those situations save some superficial details

its getting okay but starts out very biased against Arabs as anti-semites

The narration reminds me of Edger Allen Poe's the Raven, how he seems to describe his internal descent to insanity...or in this case, fear of the Ripper's manuscript

Wow, on the surface it might be a simple story but the length at which it remains interesting is what makes it impressive. Also loving how King gives you previews of the future from time to time (like, little did they know blah blah)

I think he's got some things wrong as he's a man on the outside looking in. For example, one question he takes as a hint is actually the factory trying to cover their butt and access the risk without him knowing.

Well now I don't know. It's beginning to seem like a predictable hollywood action film where the hero and a lead lady go through hell's trials and are the only survivors--and they kiss and live happily ever after.

Guy sure knows how to tell a story. Lined up a whole town of believable characters and has me cowering in fear from this seemingly possible chain of events. And sad.
