I am obsessed with this book. I’m only on the second page post-introduction to the anthology, and I’m obsessed.

I actually follow Blumenhaus on Instagram, which is why the title caught my eye. They do the most gorgeous work. A blend of flowers, fantasy, and folklore.

I can’t help but to write about it as I read. It’s absolutely gorgeous. This page with the floral B that is adorned in a halo is everything.

I have been reading this book for a long time. It is gorgeous and it is heartbreaking. I keep needing to put it down. It hurts my feelings every time I read this but I already know in my bones that it will be 5 stars

god…this book is filled with powerful scenes—studies of life and adolescence, but also those referential thoughts and self-reflective feelings that never quite go away

this is so fucking good. perfect classic encapsulating writing. i’m there & i’m intruding, i’m omniscient & outsider. so good

I’m not even reading this book rn, but I just need to elevate to a new level of importance

I thought this was going to be a silly, fun novella—perfect for the season, but consider me surprised. These words are delectable. Poetic prose-esque magic littered across the page. They’re eating me up, and I am really enjoying it.

Honestly, there’s a pretty brutal edge to some of the sentiment, which I can also appreciate because life is rough. I respect when that is acknowledged in the media I encounter.
