I wanted to say, in case the author doesn't later on, that while I value how Berger builds an argument that the notion of a "Jewish People" is antisemitic and based in Hiterlistic propaganda, I think he misses the important reality that this Othering has, whether we like it or not, shaped how a large group of people are treated and thus, view themselves, and how this different life experience has, shaped a people.

I rarely make progress updates, but I'm just feeling the need to gush about this book, Padraig reminds of Ross Gay, in the way they just make me want to write, live presently and write some more. Loving this book.

This book is a hot-take for me, especially on Jews, not mad, definitely challenged.

To all the homies- this book has become disconcertingly relevant, but important, I more than strongly suggest you read, even if you don't agree with Alexanders overarching thesis, she points to statistics all people, especially those living in the USA, should examine.
