Well, I'm past the halfway point, and something is finally happening... Which is the most positive thing I've said about this book yet.

It's terrifying to reread one of your favourite series from your teens (the other was the original Grisha trilogy) as an adult. It's been over a decade since I read this series, afraid it wouldn't hold up now that I'm a little better read. The first 101 pages have not disappointed me though.

This book was def inspired by House of Leaves. The username with 'Navidson' in it, the strange nonsensical text with footnotes, the cyphers... I love it.
