I’ve wasted an audible credit on this. Fifteen chapters in and the shrill voice of the narrator has me on edge. Soo much back detail - I’d love some storyline.

Just read me the damn phone book, Matthew! That succulent southern accent will reel me in regardless, but the story of your life and your philosophy makes it even more fascinating to listen.

50% through and we’ve just made it to the 20th century! Honestly, I could listen to Richard Fidler read the phone book, but this Czech/Prague history is fascinatingly rich.

The only way this book could’ve been approved is if the author had included a senator named Monica Lewinski. I loved this, the alternate universe we all need right now.
