3.5 stars. A compelling story but I found myself wanting the book to end.

Meh

Like The Unselected Journals of Emma M Lion I was intrigued as I began reading The Q. A third of the way into The Q I was hooked. I cared about the characters, the rapartee, the self discovery of the main character. A wonderful, delightful read. Laura Baker, I think you’d enjoy The Q and thank you for introducing me to Beth Brower.

Weird story

I’m thoroughly enjoying this series! This particular title is the second in the series, the third will possibly be published July 2025. I hesitated giving it four stars because — well, it’s romcom fantasy but three stars doesn’t do it justice. In fact I’m going to check my rating on the first title and change it to four if I initially gave it three. Also appreciated age of main characters!

Read it twice by mistake!

A bit of a slog.

If able I’d give it 3.5 stars but since that’s not possible I’ll round up to 4. Have to admit this book caused some anxiety for me.

I’m giving this book four stars. I agree with some reviewers that the ending was, shall we say, different but I was okay with how it ended. A worthwhile read especially for those that enjoy historical fiction.

I’d prefer to give this book a 4.5 rating but that’s not possible.

Giving it three stars but want to give 2.5. This story while well written moves slowly when it moves at all. Finishing this book felt like a homework assignment.

I loved this book. I especially enjoyed reading a chapter's title before reading the chapter and then going back and rereading the chapter title after finishing the chapter. Would definitely recommend! Thank you, Greg Imlay for the suggestion.

I've loved this series. I've loved all of Chadwick's' books, but Aileanor of Aquitaine has always held a special place for me. Excellent trilogy.
