Lol, well at least the bonded font was just for the intro. It was clearly such a terrible design experience that I hope it’s not repeated.

I’ve just begun the ebook and… it seems surface level, but the heavy font of this book is distracting. It’s legit hard to read when the entire page is bold. The weight cannot be changed in any meaningful way via Libby custom font adjustments. Ive been reading library ebooks through Libby for a decade and never experienced this. The prose is nice but the font is awful. Rant over.

Nearly a decade after it happened, the story of the 2016 US presidential election remains deeply relevant. Doubly so after the 2024 election.

That translates to constant long library waitlists when I let this ebook checkout lapse a couple times. After reading the first 40% or so, I later noticed that the audio version, read by the author herself, was available immediately, and am quickly finishing it that way.
