So far, I am loving how smoothly the book flows. The metaphors used by Emezi are brilliant and they've done a fabulous job of expressing it in writing.

there are authors who can write on certain things and then there are authors who can write a certain way. but there are very few writers who can do both, woolf is one such brilliant writer. one who is aware that there's a certain truth in fiction, one who acknowledges it.

my MOST favourite part of what i've read so far is her comparing a thought to a fish, a stream of thought to fishing. i am in awe of her.

Finished reading part one. Minos and Theseus' behaviour is infuriating!! Hopeful that the rest of the book will continue to be as good!

I'm really enjoying the book, made a bit anxious about life for a while but that's what's about, didn't feel alone in feeling that way either.

I like reading about Alexandria but I really dislike the fact that the pace isn't picking up and there is still no additional information on Simone.

Waiting for it to get interesting from here on. Looking forward to reading more about Simone.
