Absolutely loving this book! So funny but equally hot!

Recommendations please - anyone know of any really good vampire/werewolf/demon/angel books, series or standalone?

Any of my GR'ds friends know why my preorder of Ashes by R. J. Lewis has been cancelled? It said its been cancelled by the publisher so I can only assume that it's because Lewis hasn't met her deadline or the book isn't finished. Anyone else had this happen?

I'm struggling a little to get into this book. The writing style is in the first person and whilst I normally love this, the writing seems very young. And the detailing, I don't need so much detail or explanations. Give me a generalisation not a full blown description for every little thing. I'm going to persevere but it's hard going.

Although I'm from Britain and speak British, it always surprises me that I read in a posh British accent (even in my head), doesn't matter where the book is set, how the book sounds, how the writer has written it, (you know mom instead of mum) it still comes out posh British. I've never been posh in my life!!!

So many books, so little time!!

For some reason, I just can't get into this book right now. Call it readers block. I will come back to it though because I don't like to leave a book unfinished unless it's really bad.

Seriously need to start reading the books I already own on my kindle before I buy any more!

Totally got memories of sneaking into my sisters bed when it thundered. I can definitely relate to this. I'm not scared of thunder anymore though.....weird.

I love J.R Wards books but they don't half take a while to get through.

I'm only a short way in this and I'm so effing confused, I'm literally frowning and have my finger permanently attached to my lips. I'm reading another book at the same time so that I don't get a headache from trying to concentrate on the storyline but I hate to DNF so I shall persevere :-)

At the moment it's a bit confusing, it's taking me a while to learn who's who and what's what.

I'm only on page 6 and I'm already feeling the love for this guy, example:- 'Wetness falls from my lashes as I lean back and wrap my arms around my legs. I stare at the fire and let the tears fall, trying to convince myself that I will feel better and think more clearly once I have eaten the meat cooking on the spit.' I just want to put the guy to my chest and cradle him *sorrowful sigh*

Is it just me or does everyone experience the same feelings I do after reading a paranormal book and then moving on to a non paranormal book? I keep expecting some mythical, supernatural or paranormal being to pop up!! #totalheadf**k

Starting to make progress with this but it's slow going at the moment :-/
