Darlene is reading The Lincoln Highway
I liked it. I liked the characters. I stayed interested which is pretty much all I require. Lol. Not great at reviewing.

Darlene is reading My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry
It wasn't what I usually read, but kept my interest. Relationship between 2 "differents", a grandmother and her granddaughter. The fantasy they share reveals similarities to a real life. Many interesting characters evolve into what they are meant to be.

Darlene is finished with After Her
Very interesting novel based on some true facts. Set in the 70's, I could relate to what the character was experiencing emotionally. Did not conclude the way I thought it would. If it had been a true story and ended the way it did, I wouldn't have believed it. Not sure I really like the ending.

Darlene is finished with Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet
It was an interesting story and informative of the history in.our country after Pearl Harbor. A look into Chinese customs. Although the ending was pretty obvious, it was a nice read to get there.

Darlene is finished with House of Sand and Fog
I liked the book but found the author used foreign words for the characters to speak, but did not always explain the words. It was an interesting read with interesting characters.

Matthew has had quite an interesting life before he was famous. I believe this has only enhanced his acting ability. This is a look at a genuine, positive person.

Good book. Even though I knew fairly soon into the book, what was going to happen, it kept my interest.

Darlene is reading The Story of Charlotte's Web: E.B. White's Eccentric Life in Nature and the Birth of an American Classic
It took awhile to get to the time he wrote Charlotte's Web. It was rather dry, and not that interesting, to me. But I got through it. Out of it, I happened upon Stuart Little at a Little Free Library and brought it home.

Darlene is finished with The Stranger in the Woods: The Extraordinary Story of the Last True Hermit
It dragged a little but only because it was difficult for anyone to figure out why he did it. All we wanted was to know why? How? He is quite intelligent and adapted quite well.

Darlene is on page 83 of 196 of From Baghdad, With Love: A Marine, the War, and a Dog Named Lava (Lava #1)
The sacrifices, worry, peril so many people faced for one pup is amazing. With so much death and destruction they faced every day, this was a mission of love that they needed. It is difficult to read at times.
