This book is so good. I love how sweet it is.

I don't want to say I know what's coming, but I think I kinda now how this may play out. It's still really good.

Like I needed to start another book, when I've got 5 others started.

I got a little bogged down with the incorrect usage of parapet (much like my grouse with The Black Witch), but once I really got into the book, I loved it. Bought Iron Wing the same day I finished this one.

It took me a few chapters to really get into this book. Vern isn't a likeable character, but it's not her fault, given her upbringing, and what she's had to endure. I do admire her strength.

I just finished chapter 5 where they figure out that Sherry is the one that’s being stalked and I have this question. Didn’t they already established that like back in chapter 2 when she showed them all the letters she received?

I should have have seen the ending coming, as I'm fairly familiar with that particular twist. But I didn't. Great book, but I'm still not onboard with seals having gills. (Laurie, seriously, seals are mammals and don't have gills. Also, gills don't work on land..at all.) And another point of contention. There was a reference to Sidhe Fae. Sidhe Fae is redundant. Sidhe means Fae or fairy in Irish.

I like where this is going. Can’t wait for the next book.

I found a pretty glaring biological error in the Chapter “The Selkie.” Elloren sees the woman in the cage and notices gill slits on her neck. Then her aunt explains about how Selkies are seals. But seals don’t have gills. They’re mammals, thus the human selkie would not have gills.

I can’t stop laughing!

I finally got hooked enough to finish the book. Will definitely read the sequel.

I can't lie, this book is good, but a bit of a struggle to read. It could be the way the book is actually printed, and the transitions in the story telling aren't clear. I'm getting through it faster than I thought though.

Mistakes that I have found:

White Chestnut Stallions are not a thing. Go talk to a person who knows horses.

King Louis the IX was the King of France in the 13th century. (Read a history book)

Pocket watches weren't invented until the 16th century (wristwatches in the late 19th century.) (This is available on Wikipedia for crying out loud.)
