This may be my most shocking DNF ever. I’m giving it another 5-10% and then I’m done. The second hundred pages of this are actually awful.

Still liking this, mostly. But there are SO many asides. Just pages and pages and PAGES and asides and exposition. It’s hard to keep up with sometimes.

I’m mostly loving this. The characters drew me in right away meeting them, but were 22% in and I still don’t actually have any idea what they are DOING, and it’s weird that they’re going along with it when they don’t seem to either. Also, Libby and Nico are violating the “acquaintances and friends don’t say each other’s name every other sentence” rule. Let’s see where it goes.

Finally getting to this one.

A lot of Narnia readers regularly cite this as their least favorite book in the series, but I think the world building is at its best here.
