Really struggling with the audiobook narrator. The New Jersey accent and the romantasy setting just aren’t mixing well for me.

Oh goodness, the scene between Emma, Islington, Pierce, Mrs. Penury, and Daisy is one of the most hilarious and delightful scenes I have ever read in my entire life. These characters are just so beautifully written. I wish I could meet all of them.

Due back to the library. Putting it back on hold.

I don’t love the romance direction this is taking. He’s her teacher and he’s known her since she was 10. Yuck.

Absolutely devastating. I bought this book for my 11 year old for Christmas. He loved it and now we’re all listening as a family. Did not realize I would end up crying about made up animals in front of my children.

Some authors should not narrate their own audiobooks. Getting frustrated with the mispronounced words.

I love it when a character has my name! It happens so rarely that’s it’s a bit of a treat (especially when the audiobook narrator has a delightful Scottish accent).

I’m halfway through and really loving this. I definitely wish Anna was my best friend.

Made it this far and then my Libby loan auto-returned and it's a 15 week wait to get it back. Might buy this for my dad for Fathers' Day (which I was planning to do long before it returned!) and read the end of his copy 🤫

Just realized Tom Hanks does the audio narration. 😍😍😍😍😍

Enjoying this so much more than I expected to. I think I was expecting something less relatable or approachable, or maybe more cerebral. Pleasantly surprised.
