DNF at 43%. Is not bad or anything (well, the book. The audiobook was excruciating), but I just don’t care. I kind of want to know what happened but it’s not worth the slog.

No nonsense, but still a little silly and a little get off my lawn. Exploits very well the casual racism that's not so casual when you're under its thumb. Halfway through and hope it keeps its head for the rest.

One of the things that gets me about the fantasy books I read is that the characters will be like 25 and well put together and wise. In this book, young people are smart but also really fucking annoying and stupid, just like real young people! Refreshing, actually.
