The fictional telling of the harsh life in the wild frontier of western Virginia in the 1770s. The Indian captive narrative was inspired by the accounts of Susanna Hutchinson (1643), Mary Rowlandson (1682), Mary Jemison (1753) as well as others.

I’ve decided to let this book go. DNF I enjoyed aspects of this tale, most having nothing to do with the horse, rather the history around the story.
