I have to stop here or I will be up until I finish it and I would collapse of exhaustion first. If I stop mow, I won't be completely and totally in love with it and I can put it down without (much) separation anxiety.

Amazing book. I might have to downgrade some other favorites to make room for this at the top. Colin Firth's narration is top of the line, too.

Oh, we're finally getting to the end of WW2... Good book, interesting lady, but lots of overlap earlier made it a little difficult to track.

I'm liking the Beethoven storyline (hey, I loved Immortal Beloved, it was not a bad movie) and it's lively to read a book not set in NYC or London. I suppose there wasn't a choice if you want to write about LVB, just like it has to be set in London if it's about Shakespeare... Anyhoo, I look forward to figuring out this wacky world of Prague and the otherworldliness it connects to.

It arrived today!!!!!

Better than Groundhog Day, Ursula is born before the Great War, and some of her lives make it to the Second World War. Interesting, and the first life is such a TEASE!!

So, I have a suspicion. But I'm usually wrong - although she doesn't just say things offhand. Anyone ever breathe in a lot of caustic fumes? Notice how it makes you cough uncontrollably for hours/days?

Not just 400pgs, but 70 pages of intro. This book is DENSE. I love it. You see the stories from LHOP series, but they're more like diaries/memoirs. And Pa was in a posse (see Kate Bender), how cool is that?! I mean, probably he wasn't, but there are a lot of things in here that are making the family so much more real. I still have a hard time overlapping little Laura in a wagon, with a woman who died after WW2.

Ken Morrow had an awesome 1980- won the winter olympics then went to the Islanders and won the Stanley Cup. "I did take some pictures of the Cup with the gold medal hanging around it." AWESOME.
