Much too long of a book to finish. The case itself is a fascinating study of unhealthy relationships, but the procedural elements following the murder become ridiculously redundant after a while. It felt like a lot of extraneous information was thrown in for no significant reason. I resorted to skimming after a bit and I just had to DNF by the time I was barely halfway though.

Such a charming and sweet read so far

DNF'd. There seemed to be some potential gems buried in this tome, but I probably wasn't in the right frame of mind for this kind of book at this time. I may revisit it later though.

I am so happy to have discovered this delightfully charming author. This book so far has been making me chuckle with glee, while also offering up poignant moments that tug at my heartstrings. The characters are fantastic, not just the MC, but the secondary ones as well.

So far I'm digging the vibe of this one a lot!

There is admittedly something eccentrically charming about this story. It slowly has been winning me over, not quite in the way I was hoping, but in a way I can appreciate nonetheless. I still have some issues with the lack of description for the characters at times; also many of the character names are quite similar which makes it confusing! We'll see how it all plays out though.

The premise of this book looks promising...but so far the characters are kind of falling flat. I'm not even a quarter of the way through and I really hope I start to want to invest in at least one character soon. Otherwise, I may put this one aside
